Flowerbomb, Viktor & Rolf’s theatrical dream

When two couturiers put their ideas in terms of perfumery side by side , the result promises to be explosive. Flowerbomb is a glamorous, sophisticated and theatrical fragrance. In this case, it was designed to make an impression because it is the first fragrance from the house of Viktor & Rolf. In a bottle made like a diamond-pomegranate, it then represents a very couture floral explosion. It is in the image of the perception of things of Viktor & Rolf according to which the perfume is “an antidote to reality, to which we have only one weapon: the dream”.

Flowerbomb, an intense bouquet of flowers to unpin

Flowerbomb is a fragrance from the gourmet Floriental family and designed by four great perfumers, namely Carlos Benaïm, Dominique Ropion, Domitille Bertier and Olivier Polge. It opens with scents of bergamot and tea and immediately gives off a very sparkling appearance. Then, her heart arrives and reveals to us the bouquet of flowers that we were so waiting for. All its generosity is reflected in its sambac jasmine. Orange blossom, on the other hand, gives birth to a more sunny side and the whole thing is accompanied by freesia, Catleya orchid and Centifolia rose. Flowerbomb exudes extreme voluptuousness and a very carnal aspect. Its base is warmer and more amber. Patchouli is the main element. It completes the whole in a subtle way and gives it a balsamic, woody and gourmet trail.

The Flowerbomb bottle is very surprising. It takes the form of a pinhole grenade. The beauty of this perfume therefore becomes a weapon, yes but not just any one: a weapon of seduction that no one can resist. Once you dare to sprinkle it, an explosion of flowers emerges. What’s more, its luxurious appearance is also ubiquitous since this weapon of war is faceted like a diamond. It then delivers an intense light and has fun reflecting the nectar it contains in a thousand ways. The cork, on the other hand, is very delicate. All pink, it recalls a jewel that could not be more feminine. The whole is particularly daring and elegant.

Viktor & Rolf launch a bomb in the world of perfumery

Flowerbomb was therefore born ten years after the launch of the Viktor & Rolf label in 2005. Of course, seeing it, fans of the brand must immediately have caught a glimpse of their 1998/1999 collection. named “Atomic Bomb”. The name chosen for this perfume is also very important. It represents a way of seeing life and above all of living it to the fullest. It invites you to dream and to immerse yourself in a dreamlike universe where flowers reign supreme. Flowerbomb is, in fact, exploding a bouquet of sensations. It is particularly fanciful and thus makes our imagination sail between reality and mirage. As Viktor & Rolf says“This first perfume tells of our desire to amaze […] A perfume is the door open to the marvelous […] We imagined Flowerbomb as an ideal measured by the heart […] A bomb of flowers that would transform the negative in positive. A geyser of sensations, of fresh waves, faceted with light, to celebrate life as a utopia.
